Vote 4 Clowns

I think some might say there has been a lot of this going on lately. 

Anyway, safely home now.

We managed to get an earlier train. Not much time for photos though and I only took two, this and Paddington at the station. This was on the way walking from the hotel to Waterloo tube station. I panicked a bit when we saw the entrance you can see in the background here was closed. The pessimist in me had the whole of the underground shut down. All was OK though.

At Paddington we took advantage of the first class lounge, just to sit though - we didn't need any refreshments as we knew we would get some on the train. The train was actually 10 minutes late leaving, which was nothing to us compared with Friday's 2 hour delay. We felt superior as the ticket inspector turfed quite a few passengers out of our carriage, trying to travel first with standard class tickets. Then we came down to earth when he told us we would have to walk through two of the standard carriages to get off at Kingham as the platform was too short for the full train. Mrsfb suggested to me that they ought to stop the train so that the first class carriages are on the platform and make the other passengers walk!

So, that's three birthday events done now, three more to go, including, we hope, a blipmeet.

I'm up to date with my posts now but it's going to take a while to catch up with the other journals.
