Geese
It’s the last day of my holiday. I got up relatively early, just so that tomorrow isn’t too much of a shock to the system.
I planned an early walk, but it was dark and potentially icy, so I decided to wait until it was daylight. I pottered, then sat down to read my book, except I didn’t read anything as I was just thinking about BB and R, and felt incredibly sad again. I eventually got out for my walk, which helped me to clear my head. It didn’t seem too icy, so later I went out for a run. I ran out along the railway path, it was all fine, but then became which very icy, making running very difficult. I was glad to get back on to the road which was not frozen.
Later BB and I went out for lunch, to a cafe we had not been to before. He really enjoyed his, I probably didn’t choose wisely. However the portions were huge, and BB finished mine off. We then walked down to the river, and then came home with stuff for tea.
We played my new game, Quirkle. I struggled with the scoring! Later I cooked tea, but had to pop out for frozen peas, as we didn’t seem to have any.
We had a quiet evening.
The river was running high, I think the geese were hoping we would have some food for them. The aconites in the extra are in St Mary’s Pleasance.
