Thawing slowly

An excellent service at church where we welcomed our new pastor and dedicated ourselves to God and each other for the coming year. 
People weren't in a hurry to leave so it was quite late by the time we were home for lunch and I decided a walk after would be enough exercise. It was very grey today and would have been getting dark before I was ready to run and the remaining icy patches would be invisible - they'll be gone by tomorrow.
Down at the ponds this robin had found some bread dropped under a grill over the frozen outlet and was making the most of it. Further along the swans (extra) were skating, they aren't very good at it! One of the cygnets had been chased to the burn, another to the big pond and a 3rd was nowhere to be seen. 2 were still hanging around the roosting area and the 6th vanished a few weeks ago.
Rustled up a meal from things in the fridge, I'll have to go shopping soon.
