Sutton Hoo

This site managed by the National Trust is situated in stunning countryside but was made completely fascinating by our guide Spencer who took us back in time.

We were interested to go as we’ve watched the film ‘The Dig’ about the uncovering of an Anglo Saxon burial ship filled with treasure and described as ‘one of the greatest archeological discoveries of all time’.

It totally exceeded my expectations and not least because we were lucky enough to enjoy it in the sunshine. (Thank you Kerri). And thank you Neil for the photo.
