Fireweed Field

On 15 July I blipped a photo of the wildflower Fireweed. I have been trying to take a photo of the immense fields of fireweed that I are surrounding us , but I have not been able to get a good vantage point. How gorgeous the view from an airplane.
The fireweed is a sight to behold, and it must be because of the unnaturally hot weather we have. (record temperatures and sun)
This is not a great composition, but I just want to give some idea of the purple that is blanketing the roadsides and any open space. Summer is passing quickly, and the fireweed is already starting to reach the top, when the lovely lilac color disappears as the blossoms change into small rolls and then into magical fluffy seed pods.
