Back to the mouth of the creek to check on ducks. The Hooded mergansers were on scene this morning as were several Canada geese. It was cold and the NW wind was blowing. 
We went to the library but it was closed. No good reason as the roads and parking lots are completely clear. Seems people get weaker minded as each day passes. I have no idea how the people in CA will survive the challenges ahead of them. No one seems to have grit anymore. It takes a strong will to face those types of disasters in life and if you can not make it to work with snow on the grass...well you are doomed! I've heard God takes care of the weak...I sure hope it is true. I like to think I can care for myself...I always try to have at least 1 plan. That is not to say help would not be needed or accepted. Being prepared is key...we have go bags at the ready even for Sugar along with other important things. Just a small amount of planning can be the difference between better life or pure misery.
