Blackbird
Another cold day, and the second Friday back at work. It is great to have all this cold wintry weather with sunshine. Much more preferable to the wet and windy winter that we had last year. At lunchtime, partner and I head out for a walk around the park. The blackbirds in the park must be hungry, when we pass, they carry on foraging in the leaflitter rather than flying away. The blackbird in the blip, passed on our way home, did make an effort to leave. The sunlight caught a lot of detail in the feathers, so the blip is best viewed large.
After work, partner and I head further up the hill, where the pavements and roads still have quite a bit of snow. Walking on solid snow is preferable to walking on tarmac with ice grippers, as on tarmac it feels like you are walking small springs. We head to the local café for Friday coffee and cake. Then back home via the park to catch the last colours of the day.
