Halftime
I was in two minds about going to see Queen's Park this afternoon. Their match was at Falkirk and it is one of the away games I can get to easily.
On the other hand, it was only 1ºc at lunchtime. 90 minutes sitting outside in that was not an attractive plan. But I went. And I enjoyed it (apart from the cold).
Falkirk are league leaders but we managed to hold them to a 0-0 draw. It was full of incident and good football, so the missing goals did not irk me too much.
Oh, and the pies are good there. I tried one with black pudding and haggis in it. The other wonderful things were hot water in the toilets (very unusual) and a hot air hand drier which works (ditto). Both were very popular on such a cold day.
My day had started with a slippery Parkrun in Kirkcaldy. I am not sure how the course was passed as safe, but I survived. I assume everyone else did although the marshalls looked freeze dried.
Beer and crisps now.
