Wassailing Hat

I decided to decorate a wassailing hat. I used ivy, rosemary, an apple, a pear, narcissus flowers, some feathers and toast cut into star shapes. I left it on a chair feeling quite pleased with my handiwork. Mish ate the big toast star from the crown of the hat so I had to make another. Luckily the glitter I used was edible.

I self-consciously wore the hat when I arrived at Waltham Abbey for the wassailing but immediately started looking for a nice-looking young woman to model my creation for the judging of the competition. I think I chose well, love her retrousse nose. My hat won.The prize was a goodie bag. No idea what was in it, I gave it to the lovely woman.
