Broken glass!
I have to say this is a shot off the internet. Reason being that I have been asked to do a report on a friends glazing problem - being a sealed unit circa 7’ x 6’ of which the interior pane suddenly shattered for no apparent reason. The installers are saying it’s due to Nickel Sulphide Stones within the glass and taking no responsibility.
So most of the day spent researching this and it is interesting and occurs in approximately 1m2 in 10,000m2. The “stones” are about 0.06mm and can only be seen with an electron microscope.
However I have a gut feeling that possibly the packers were left out and as the unit is in a green oak frame that may have been the cause.
