The Work Goes On

It might have been bone chillingly cold this morning, but the volunteers were still out in force at Weybourne sheds, which was nice to see. We had 0.8mm of rain overnight which froze and made it treacherous on the pavements, but it was ok on the roads. I went in to town for a few things before driving over to Sheringham Park for a walk with H. Because of the freezing rain, it was incredibly icy in the gravel car park and we had to do the whole walk quite slowly walking on the leaves / grass at the edge of the paths - even the compacted soil paths were covered with black ice. I didn't expect it to be so icy after midday when the temperature had been between 2-5C for three hours, I presume it was because the ground beneath was frozen.
