Freezing fog and my favourite oak

It didn’t creep above minus four this morning. It was foggy too. After it started to clear a little on our higher ground I decided to venture to Waitrose for my prescription.

It was even foggier and colder down in Lichfield. Dramatic landscape but not too many people.

Inevitably, I popped in to the tiny reserve at Pipe Hill to enjoy my favourite tree. My windscreen cover was invaluable again and at this stage of the day, the roads were less icy because of Saturday morning shoppers.

I hadn’t realised that pearl barley was difficult to find ! I threw my out of date stuff out in my last clear out. Eventually, a helpful Waitrose assistant helped me track it down.

I now have an Irish Stew gently working its magic in my slow cooker.

Stay safe my blipfriends xx
