Midday walk

This is Multnomah Channel, Sauvie Island is in the background. Didn’t see many birds, a few Cormorants again and geese. This used to be a place where logs brought down from the hills were loaded into barges, long ago. Now it’s being made into a park for the city. Eventually there will be new docks for kayaking, canoeing, and other activities. The “logging road”, as the locals call it, goes 30 miles to Vernonia and beyond, well used by walkers and bikers.
