Harlaw
So I was just putting my coat on to take Arlo his afternoon walk when Ms H messaged us to say she couldn't get "her" (Mrs C's) car started, she'd finished work and was on her way to her friends... oops... without knowing the issue, we changed plan and drove in to her as well as calling the AA incase we couldn't fix it. When we arrived I jump started the car and it was ok, so obviously a flat battery.
Meanwhile the AA said they'd be 5 mins so we just waited, the AA man checked the battery and said it was fully charged (wow, in the 10 mins of the engine running) and it was healthy, so all fine. I still don't believe him 100% but he reckoned because Ms H was sitting in the car eating her lunch, and the car starts with a button and not keys, the battery was being run down. Googling that seems to back up that theory, but we've had button start cars for 10+ years without an issue. I can still live and learn it seems...
Anyway, Ms H went off for her weekend and since Arlo's walk was now 2 hours late and we were in the middle of Edinburgh, we headed to Harlaw Reservoir as the sun was setting. It was still busy, icy snow, but lovely views of the sunset. Most of the 2 reservoirs were almost fully iced over... bring on the heatwave!
