Still freezing…
….and frosty and beautiful, unless you have to drive a car.
Blip is the sky out of the back of our house this morning.
Went out to defrost the van and found that someone had parked within a foot of my front bumper. With all the frozen snow and ice behind, going forward was my only real option. I carried on de icing (outside and inside!) and then tried to reverse. Obviously, the van was having none of it! I chipped all the frozen ice and snow from behind the wheels and tried again. No luck. The van is lowered, so I figured it was stuck on the ridges of frozen snow underneath it. Just as I was kneeling in the frozen road, backside well and truly in the air, poking underneath with a broom handle, a lady turned up and offered to move her car further away from mine!!!!! She got in, reversed down the massive space she could have parked in, then pulled off and went to park further up the road! What is wrong with some people’s thought processes????? Strangely, without a car blocking me, I pulled straight out with no spinning wheels or anything! Got to work 2minutes late when I am usually 25 minutes early.
Just as I finished work, I received a text that Popskala had been walking The Hound and she had been peeing lots of blood again. A phone call to the vets and a swift appointment for a scan. Turns out she has two stones in her bladder. More antibiotics prescribed and we were sent away with a sort of dish that attaches to a specimen tube to try to capture her wee. Oh what larks that was!!! Vets shuts at 6.30 and I finally managed to get a fresh sample to them by 6.15 - phew. We now need to wait to find out if they are the type of stones that dissolve with a special food or whether they are the ones that mean she will need surgery to remove them. Since first taking her to the vets a week ago, a mid week visit and then today we have shelled out more than we initially paid for her! Goodness only knows how much surgery will cost, cos you can guarantee she has that type of stones :(
Anyway, the Dadski is home and it is the weekend.
