Up to the beach

Walking along in the pine woods just about to climb the dunes and go on the beach at Wells next to the Sea.
Still very cold, the sand was still frosted where the sun did not reach. Very little wind but what there was was very cold, cut right through my coat, very unusual.
Dudley had a wonderful time, we had forgotten his ball so he happily played with all the other dogs and sometimes his invisible friend.

Interesting fact The beach here appeared in the final shots of "Shakespeare in Love". 
Interesting fact 2 The Household Cavalry use it as a summer exercise ground, dozens of very large horses splashing through the surf is an amazing sight
