Lost in Thought

Etherial Stratford and WidWed results.

We were over in Stratford today for a Blipmeet Brunch with Hildasrose, Technophobe, LooseCanon and Mr&Mrs Chrispybox in the Prospero Lounge of ketchup dispenser fame.  After an enjoyable meal we took a short walk to the canal basin where a couple of forlorn looking swans were having some real issues with the frozen surface, quite sad to see - hope they are ok.

Gill and I stayed on in the town and while Gill had her eyes tested, I went back to the canal/river and found some fascinating etherial light by the RSC building.  My blip is an 6 frame HDR, shot by the camera and assembled in Lightroom.
Looks much better seen in large.

and so: Wide Wednesday Results ....

This week’s Wide Wednesday theme ‘Man-Made had several great entries and I’ve found it difficult to keep  to 5 favourites and 5 honourable mentions …. however - here they are:
Favourites to:
rmeinz – riveting on the top of an old rail bridge
Anniebelle – A cruise ship dwarfs the Sydney Harbour Bridge
Freespiral – Strong colours in Schull
DavidC – View out of a concrete subway
McTumshie – Ferries seen against a distant Arran

Honourable Mentions to:
59 – a sunlit bench – enjoy those shadows
Stella2 – Exmouth Marina wall
IlkkaValkila – Old/new architecture in the town square
Miranda1008 – The river Itchen – canalised since Roman times
JohnDeere – Wide angle lego!

Thanks to everyone who entered, as ever, I have very much enjoyed seeing your efforts and choosing the awards, and of course, its just my opinion!

You are still stuck with me for the rest of the month!  The other  themes for January are here on the communities page.
