Seal Count

The seal pupping season is coming to an end and with it our formal wardening duties.  The total number of pups born this year is slightly down but still healthy. 

We start an "ad hoc" roster very soon to help protect the seals during their annual Moult.  Adults will haul up on to the beach to shed their old coats and grow a new one, a process that takes about 4 weeks. During this time they group closely together to keep warm.
