Say CHEESE !

This superb horse was one of the winners at the Black Isle show. Today was the horse show with the preview to the main show during the evening. We caught the tail end of the horse events with some lovely little riders and horses. This horse had won it's category and it stopped just by me before going into a canter. I think it liked the camera.
This show has been held for 176 years and is the biggest agricultural event in the Highlands. We walked among the large trucks and tractors, old and new and thought about all the blip photos of tractors I had seen over the last few days and tried to spot ones similar. There were blue, red, grey and green ones and even an orange one called Henry.
We watched the sheep shearing competition, a man with an absorbent cloth, a dog herding geese and a stunt man on a quad bike jumping between two lorries.
We sat in the sun, yes sun for a change as we have nt been for the last five years as it has been raining !We enjoyed a hog roast with apple sauce and a strawberry icecream from Black Isle Dairies.

We finished the evening at Chanonry Point watching the sun change the colour of the sky and watched a seal and a seagull in the still water.
