Preston Sunrise

Tuesday. It's not quite so cold today, with sun and blue skies full of dramatic clouds. I had a very enjoyable morning shift supervising at work. Gubs had his driving test this morning using V’s car, which must have been a good luck charm because he passed first time. He’s very excited now, looking for his first car… and somewhat less gleeful about the cost of his insurance. On my way to Canterbury, I dropped Vanessa off to work in Preston village. On the way, I saw this incredible misty sunrise over the beautiful Kentish countryside.

This afternoon, I went for a nice walk along Singledge Lane, armed with thick gloves and a woolly hat. Our little hiking group is having its first walk of the season this weekend, so it was good to stretch my legs and get ready for action again. Later in the evening, we made sure to celebrate Gabriel’s driving win with his choice of takeaway supper… so Chinese all round.
