Winter wonderland

A chilly start to the day.
Exploring the surroundings in this small and delightful friendly Dartmoor town without the sound of traffic.
Crunching ice and snow underfoot.
Roads were treacherous but there were a few farm/Chelsea type trucks were about wondering in which direction the most challenging routes might be.
As daylight returned a dog walker or two sauntered out giving Dippy some dog time dashing around in the clean dry snow. Eventually at least two dozen dogs were on the snow forming several packs all generally well behaved and frolicking happily.
After a couple of hours toboggans and other interesting snowmobiles started rolling onto the tundra. School buses delayed and the local school closed for the day.
A joyful time was had by all who could get there.
Midday and the road was showing more tarmac than snow and ice, bags packed, snow removed from the car and a short drive to Bovey for a pleasant if late ish pheasant stir fry lunch with my Godmother who suggested that I should stay there with her overnight.
Pleasant conversation was enjoyed with the obvious accompanying puppy entertainment before a light supper of poached egg on toast followed by Neapolitan ice cream.
Collage in the extra department.
Zzzzzzz
