Pomerelle

A new day, a new year, and a new area to ski. Seems like it's time to start anew with Blip. No promises as to how long I can or will keep going, I always tend to run out of steam after a while!

We drove up to Pomerelle ski resort, Idaho, to get away from the busy crowds of the Park City area over the holidays. It is only a 3 hour drive, just a small 2-lift mountain with a very laid back, non-commercial atmosphere. Although it is not on our season pass, it costs only $30/day for seniors (Deer Valley gets close to $300 at this time of year!). Pomerelle reminds me of club skiing in NZ, with a log burner in the lodge, friendly people and long trestle tables for gathering together and eating lunch. And the skiing is not bad either!!
