The best thing about buddleia bushes is the number of insects they attract. Usually it's the butterflies that you really notice but there were lots of worker bumble bees being busy around this particular bush.

I think Edinburgh should adopt the buddleia as it's city tree! They grow absolutely everywhere, just as long as there's enough dirt to grab a roothold. There can't be that many streets or pathways that don't have a few bushes to their name.
