Wound up in Wexford

An island off Ireland*

We got up early, as we were worried about the driving conditions - there had been more snow overnight, though it was raining as we left.  R very kindly braved the road conditions to drop us at Hyllie Station to catch the train to Copenhagen Airport.

The trains were chaotic - several cancellations, and those running were very crowded.  We, along with quite a few other travellers, had to let the first one go - no room at all.  The next one was also very crowded - I managed to squeeze on, but W decided to try a different door, and ended up not getting on board.  He caught the next one, which was crowded, but no as bad.

Fortunately, we'd left ourselves plenty of time, and easily got through security.  We had breakfast, then made our way to our departure gate - passport control officer was disconcerted to find I had no entry stamp in my passport - they hadn't bothered to stamp it when we arrived in Stockholm.

We left Copenhagen in pouring rain, and flew into sunshine.  Once we had retrieved our car from the long stay car park we headed to Ikea (of course!).  We parted with a bit of cash, had a snacky lunch, and drove home, stopping at Gorey Services to recharge the car.

It's been a lovely holiday, but it's nice to be back in our own beds.

^ One of many, but I think this is probably Ireland's Eye.
