Parked

This little Hitachi machine has been parked on the side of the road for quite a few days. I'm wondering if it's there to do some work on the road and a culvert that was put in after the road and old culvert were damaged by heavy rain in late fall. Heavy rain recently has eroded the side of the road right up to the new pavement that had covered the culvert and part of the road has been undercut too. Cones are in place to warn drivers.  Still a bit of fog in the harbour this morning but there was a mix of sun and cloud on my walk too. Good to see the sun briefly.
I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. We heard on the news that masking is required again in all health care facilities in the province. "The move is in response to what the ministry says is a rise in influenza and RSV infections in B.C. COVID-19, it said, is "stable but showing early signs of an increase."
