We made an impromptu decision to take the morning train to Oban - I really needed to see some snow ! 
What an amazing day and such beautiful countryside to travel through. I took lots of photos and have included a few extras. 
Unsurprisingly,  Oban was pretty much closed with most businesses not opening until 27th January. We had a lovely long walk in the freezing cold and had a lovely time. 
Lots of memories of travelling to school and staying in the hostel and good memories of Dad who grew up in Oban. 
It's been a really nice day.
Our return train fare with our concession card was £3.00 each. Such a treat.
