I've been sitting in this chair quite a bit recently, tempted by the fire .It was the cushion that caught my eye as our son is marrying Miss Squirrell in October. They are wondering about combining their surnames and becoming Mr and Mrs Harling -Squirrell, quite a mouthful but one way of sharing a name without losing their own. For some reason , since they met, we seem to have accumulated a few squirrelish things around the house!

A quiet , stay at home day for us . we had hoped to spend the afternoon at the Greenhouse project as we had a childfree Thursday but the session was cancelled.  A horticulturist has just been appointed and I'm looking forward to some learning as well as growing opportunities. It meant I was able to do some sewing , mess around with coloured paper and start looking at my new "How to Draw Birds," book.
Hope those of you who are also experiencing winter are warm and well .It's not often we have such low temps in the north west of England .
