Sunrise

5:38 am! Even when sleep is at its most elusive it's highly unusual for me not to be abed at that hour, but this morning was different.

My bedroom window catches the morning light, and it was extraordinarily red and brilliant this morning, so bright and colourful that it must have wakened me up. I really just had to grab the camera and squeeze it out through the rather small opening light at the top of the window. Fast as I was, I missed the best of it.

The rest of the day was a total anti-climax compared to this moment.
