Sailing Serenely

A bitterly cold night and a heavy frost this morning. Everywhere looked amazing if perishing. Himself declared he was feeling well enough to do the weekly shop - the first time he's been our properly for a fortnight. (He returned home in one piece and all good). I decided to go out for a brisk walk - everywhere either crunchy or slidy underfoot. The two swans were in Kitchen Cove, sailing serenely past the little homestead, nice reflections going on.
I made a delicious soup out of all the slightly manky veg left in the fridge - a fusion - combined with the last of the now very smelly Stilton! A bit of summer clothes sorting followed by some well work this afternoon, the fire lit early.
Thanks to Ingeborg for keeping the Abstract Thursday challenge going - it is Thursday isn't it?  One more cold night then it should be warming up a bit, hopefully.
