I had a quiet morning with the only one of our church homegroup who was able to meet today. The Man gave me a lift as our estate roads are still covered in snow and ice.

The route to Carlisle was clear from the village so we picked up The B-I-L and went to Dobbies. It to protect them. was extremely cold outside and a lot of the plants were under wraps to protect them.

I've been horrified by the uncontrollable wildfires in California and was upset to find an ex-blipmate, catherinelacey, is living in Los Angeles. She is south of the fires, photographing them across the bay and listening out for warnings to abandon her home. of all her possessions she is anxious to protect her hard drives of clients photos.

It was distressing to see that people hadn't even the ability to escape to safety in their cars, they had to abandon them and run. 

We rarely appreciate just how lucky we are, where we are.
