Brass monkeys* out there! 

Once I’d dropped The Youngest off at school, I had a fair bit to do today, so cracked on and the morning quickly evaporated.

Tired of staring at the frozen conditions and wishing I was out in it, I made a break for freedom at lunchtime and took a walk up to Kendal Castle - this is the view from one of the approaches to it. My goodness, what a tonic it was! If you need a space to clear your head; Kendal Castle on a freezing Winter’s day should sort you out.

Tricky afternoon work-wise. It’s going to be a grindingly painful year as the not-so-new owners trying and get a grip on what we do and how we do it. Just hope we have some people left at the end of it to actually carry out these tasks!

I wolfed down a pizza and headed out to the Panto Dress Rehearsal. I actually felt quite nervous as we are under performance conditions and I still feel like I am not quite there with my lines. The first half was pretty good and popped along. The second……..let’s just say that it needs a little more work.

It was a late finish, but we agreed to come back tomorrow night to iron out at least a few of the kinks and keep things moving along.

So begins the cycle of removing glitter (extra) from EVERYWHERE for the next few weeks……..
