Catching the bus.....
I'm writing this while I'm watching Celebrity Masterchef. Mom is watching it too. I shouldn't think either of us will get any tips!
What did we do today? Well, mom went to mass and I went to see the solicitor about a form mom had been sent. I couldn't make any sense of it so I thought I'd better pop in to see dad's solicitor before we sent it back with completely the wrong things on it. All sorted and I was soon back out in the beautiful sunshine. Once I'd tracked mom down - it really was too much to hope that she'd taken her phone with her or come back the same way she went - after a lot of wandering up and down the road, we decided to get the bus to Glasgow for a change.
It was a single decker but it was a nice bendy bus and I quite enjoyed sitting on one of the seats on the bendy bit in the middle. Sorry I am a child when it comes to public transport!
We didn't do that much when we were there but as we hadn't exactly planned it, we wandered right to the end of Sauchiehall Street where I tried not to say 'There's been a murrrrrderr!' every 5 minutes and we found a big pub called The Hengler's Circus where we popped in for lunch. It was a Wetherspoons pub so like going into McDonalds, you always know what the menu is like. We had ham, eggs and chips and I had a pint of Bishop's Finger - no rude remarks please! - and mom had a glass of wine.
We left there and wandered all the way back stopping to watch a load of street entertainers down Buchanan Street. I took a few pictures there but couldn't resist wandering around the corner to take a picture of the entrance to Glasgow Central. It's my favourite station and I really like the layout. Even I can't get lost in there and it's always where I'd catch a train to Ayr if I was going that way. I'm ashamed to say I like the Burger King in there too....
We went to John Lewis for lemon drizzle cake after that and then got straight on the X77 back to Ayr. It was a double decker this time so of course I ran straight upstairs to sit right at the front on top! That was me happy!
Track? I've used this before but I think a bit of Joe Bonamassa will do for today - Slow Train
