Bat out of Hell

It seems that while we were away a bat took a fancy to the fancy curtain in front of the bootroom. Mr B let it out this evening - though I think perhaps it was dead...

Other than bat retrieval it was back to normal today: gardening, baking, feeling slightly too hot and trying to find some paying work. Same old. CarbBoy had a trip out to the swimming pool with some friends, and managed not to drown; always a plus. TallGirl is still at her horse place and I'm determinedly relaxed about the fact that she hasn't texted or called. And I've restricted myself to one text just so she doesn't think we've forgotten her. I hope all that means she's having fun, rather than her phone has run out battery.
