The other side of the park

The only photo I took today. Still very crisp underfoot, and cold but I would rather have it like this than the horror they are having in LA and that area, So sorry for those people loosing their homes to the fire, it's relentless.
Plus the other side of America in blizzard conditions.

This Park was once a coal mine "Mount Pleasant Pit" when it closed it was not used for ages but then it became an area for drug dealing and some strange people who were not exactly dog walking but something that sounds similar!!!!   Anyway they put a big barrier gate up and stopped any entry onto the waste land, then a few years ago the council cleaned it all up, made paths, a little car park, put picnic benches and it is now a nice place to walk the dog, and seats to sit on when it's a nice day, and I think families go at the weekend with the children as there is loads of space to play.  Unfortunately the other week some one (I will not repeat what I called them) drove either a 4 x 4 or a quad bike I feel it was the latter, round and round all over the grass, leaving ruts and mud everywhere. Why do some people think they have the right to spoil other peoples pleasure.

Did a few odd jobs, went out late with Tanzy as the car was frozen so waited until it thawed a bit. Cleaned up downstairs this afternoon. Made fish and chips for tea and then just watched TV The Traitors and other bits and bobs.

Thats it for today, stay safe, they were saying  on the News lots of people in hospital with fractures and broken bones through slipping on the ice.
