I was so pleased to see these scarlet berries still holding sway despite the frost . Some had a crisp ice coat others had little droplets hanging on by a silver thread.
We spotted them ( blipped previously) on our way through the park to the shop. We were clad in warm layers and boots with spikes as there is a lot of ice underfoot.
Apart from that we had another gentle day of “life admin.”
We have now both submitted our tax returns , paid our dues and filed all the papers away until “next time .”
We finished off with a video call from our son and family and were treated to having a story read to us by Florence who is just starting to read. It’s such a treat when they call , they fill the airwaves with a joyous energy which keeps us smiling all evening .
