St John the Baptist monastery, Loussios Gorge

We set out intending to visit this cliffside monastery about 100 km from where we were staying on the Peloponnese. By the time we'd got through the fog and the narrow mountain roads, walked up the gorge to fin we couldn't get in that way, come back and driven to the proper car park the monastery was closed to visitors. Never mind, we enjoyed the walk and lunch in a village taverna with a great view. This long-distance telephoto shot is all we saw of the monastery.
