Not Going Out

I had to go to Exeter today for the third day running. Funny how it's only 15 miles away and might not go there for a month and then three times.

As it turned out, an hour or so before my appointment the rain turned to snow. The journey to Exeter takes me over Haldon Hill which is always a trouble spot in winter weather. I phoned and cancelled the appointment.

A little later after it turned back to rain I wondered if I should have gone but the on the local news I saw that Haldon hill had come to a stop and people were (maybe still are) stuck there for hours.

The snow has settled in the back garden and I don't know how much will be added overnight. It might all be gone - who knows?
