Early start

I’m not and never have been a morning person. Always struggle to get out of bed but never more so than when it’s cold and dark.

Set my alarm early today as I knew I had to walk the dog and de-ice my car, but still stayed in bed longer than I should have done.

This was the view while walking Barney. He actually wanted to stay out this morning, typically! I usually struggle to get him to the end of the road when I have to do the early walk.

The car took 20 minutes to clear, it actually froze inside too. As a result I was late for work. At least I got there safely though.

Three positives:
1) we had cake at work, somebody’s birthday so it would have been rude not to
2) tea for tonight is already more or less prepared
3) I’ve found a cover for my windscreen so hopefully it won’t be as bad in the morning
