Rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb ...
Spent a very frustrating day from 8am waiting for British Gas engineer to come and repair the washing machine.
He should have arrived by 1pm. Phoned just after 1 to be told he would be soon. Phoned at 2pm, put on hold and after 5 minutes, line went dead. Was told if that happened they would call back. No one called. Phoned them again at 3pm to be told, eventually, that the engineer didn't arrive as he didn't have the part and I would need to book another appointment. Told the operator how my day had been wasted and I should have been informed
earlier. She apologised and would sent a cheque for £20 to compensate for the inconvenience. Told her it should be £20 per wasted hour! Appointment rescheduled for Friday.
It had been a lovely sunny day too. What a waste of a day.
Noticed the rhubarb in the garden. Only photo taken today.
