Robin

As expected it was cold today - but we did not have the rain and snow that was forecast this afternoon. I started my weekly golf sessions again today, I was worried about my wrist that got stressed in November from playing too much golf, as despite not playing for several weeks it still seems sore. It was fine to start with but by the end of the session it was starting to get painful. I did warm it up before playing and I hope it will just get stronger again with time.

Tommy comes home on Friday so it will be good to see him again after his holiday to Australia, and also because we did not see him for Christmas. He is coming home for Adam's farewell dinner and then is able to work here for the week as the next weekend it is his birthday, so that works well. Today he is buying a new car - well not new, but new to him, which will make his journey to work much easier and will allow him to explore around his area in Germany too - and in just over 3 hours he can be at our apartment in Switzerland as it is so close to Munich.

Luke has managed to get an appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon regarding his shoulder, as it keeps dislocating - it sounds like he may need to get it pinned. I am just pleased he is seeing a specialist about it - thankfully he has private medical insurance which is becoming a necessity these days with the massively long waits on the NHS.

I have so much TV to catch up on. I find I am deleting some things that I would usually watch as I know I won't have time to watch them - I am considering deleting the latest Wolf Hall series, which I know will be very good with excellent actors but I am so bored with Henry XVIII! I am thoroughly enjoying My Beautiful Friend based on the books by Elena Ferrante, I think when I finish this final season I will go back and read the books in the Neopolitan series.

This little robin was sitting on the bracken near the car park in the woods, and it stayed there for a while before it flew off so I was able to get a photo of it.
