Breakfast in the Ivy
Three days of a ‘weepy’ eye driving me to distraction sent me scurrying to the local chemist at 9am this morning to speak to the pharmacist. I was somewhat amused to be in the company of the local methadone users in for their daily fix. Eventually I was seen and given the chloramphenicol needed.
Then a walk into town in sunshine on well gritted pavements to have breakfast with my school friend , her brother and his partner all in Edinburgh from far flung places. Eggs Benedict were very popular.
As ever it was lovely to meet up and it is so easy to reconnect when we have a shared background.
Home in the sunshine and chill to the eyedrops and the hope that I can begin to see the world less watery soon.
