Carduelis carduelis

Some more snow fell overnight and the ground is now rock hard. Black ice has formed across our lane and the only car to come down had to turn  around in our drive not prepared to risk the steep downhill section. I've continued to work on the kitchen door, which now fits and is ready for repainting. Meanwhile the garden had an invasion of goldfinches.
