A quiet day
Amazed how knocked out I still felt after sedation. It was absolutely essential to have someone around to look after me. Again, I only took one photo, so this is my blip. A few little treasures on my mantelpiece. My angel came from Prague over 20 years ago. My turquoise glass stem vase from Murano about 50 years ago. The little wooden candlestick from a project in York where people with learning disabilities make crafts to sell. The tiny Christmas cards in the middle are drawn by the two boys who look after Portia sometimes. It seems schools fundraise by selling cards of the kids artwork, commercially printed.
About 4 my L went home to Plymouth. It worked out fine that he worked here for two days and I caught the odd snatch of his conversations as he manages some huge project to improve the quality of drinking water in Devon and Cornwall. So interesting. I often see him being a DJ online or at venues sometimes. But I’ve never seen him being a civil engineer before.
