Statue

Spent the first part of today in court covering the various cases which were heard. I have often noticed this statue which is outside Carlisle Crown Court.

The inscription reads: "Major Francis Aglionby MP, 1777-1840, for many years chairman of Cumberland Sessions". Thought the sky added to the picture.

The sunshine did not stay for long and I got soaked walking from the city centre office to my car because I had not realised it had started raining.
