Getting the message out there...
What is the best way to promote a show in the Edinburgh festival?
If you're a comedian, you sell a kidney and have massive posters of your face pasted up all over town. Preferably the poster will be packed with endorsements from various "experts" and adorned with information glorifying your previous run as a sell out.
If you're in low-budget student theatre, you head for the High Street. For maximum effect you should look as ludicrous as possible.
You can then proceed to come up with highly original strategies for drawing attention to your performance. These may or may not include wandering around in character gibbering at people, organising your cast into a giant game of musical statues or that old fail-safe, nudity.
