Snow slide

Up at the right time for school … saw it was going to be a delayed start so slowed down, then got the message that school was closed again! :)
Had breakfast. Walked Scout up to mom’s. Walked the dogs. Made mom breakfast and joined her for a coffee. Cleaned her bathroom. Took the Christmas decorations down. Walked home.
Lunch.
I pottered doing nothing much while Cathie was on zoom calls all day. It got dark and started snowing great big fluffy flakes. Didn’t expect that. It fluttered on and off for the rest of the afternoon. Eventually I ended up in the living room watching a bit of ‘Beyond Paradise’ while crocheting.

A couple of times through the afternoon we heard a strange scraping and crashing noise. Then I heard it out the living room window. On looking out , I could see a lot of large clumps of snow that looked like they had been thrown in. Then it happened! A huge dollop of snow fell from the roof to the garden on the corner of the house.
We went out to investigate. And sure enough. The snow was sliding off our roof and landing, thankfully, onto our bay window roof or garden (and not on someone’s head!).

Drove to mom’s picking up pizza on the way. Walked the dogs. Again it was a lovely night and the two of them enjoyed running on the grass along the top road. Everything had a dusting of white again providing more grip on the icy patches.
