Follow alternator route
Goodness me, Fidra, all your clothes have fallen off!
After at least two cups of tea and huge bowls of porridge for breakfast, bestie and I retreated to my garage and set about digging into the guts of my motorbike. It has been pretty hard work. Various workarounds were discussed along the way to try to avoid certain steps in the process, but in the end we had to follow Mr Haynes' advice. Although I'd had the foresight to get a siphon, it hadn't extended to a suitable container to siphon all the petrol into, so we took a quick trip to Halfords in BB's electric car for a big old jerry can or two.
But more tricky tasks meant that by gone teatime we still hadn't got to our target, the alternator, which Honda's designers thoughtfully buried under as many other pieces of engine as possible. By then we were too cold and too hungry so called it a day.
Veggie meatballs from our favourite Swedish furniture emporium were just the ticket.
