Christmas Leftovers, Oasis Cafe, West Kingsdown

We've decided to start going to villages in Kent we've never been to before and see what transpires and, if possible, get some images. Today we chose Farningham, a small settlement near to Swanley. It was a very picturesque place full of historic buildings. The river Darent runs through the centre. It seems quite a quiet place but still has two pubs, a hotel and an Indian restaurant. Like many small villages in our region it's lost quite a few of it's local shops, including a general store, a butchers and it's bakery but it was still a lovely place to walk around and, of course, we partook of a beer at one of the pubs, The Pied Bull. It was also very quiet but we were greeted warmly so settled for some food as well. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite get a picture I liked but on the way back home we passed through West Kingsdown (somewhere else we'd never been before) and that's where I took today's image at The old school Oasis Cafe. I loved this display and the signage beneath it.
