A Sprinkle of Magic
A morning with lots of meetings and a long list of jobs to get through meant that it wasn't until the end of the afternoon that I was able to leave the house, by which time the bright sunshine had given way to heavy, gusty snow showers. This is when my portrait project can be both a blessing and a curse. It's almost always more of the former. I donned wellies for the walk up to the moor and the conditions were better than yesterday, the snow having frozen overnight and a good deal crunchier, okay for walking, not so good for running. I didn't think I was going to meet anyone until I spotted the intrepid Emily and Tom. Many thanks to them for posing in the face of an oncoming blizzard. It's when I meet young people with their kind of joie de vivre that I have hope for the future!
As it turned out, I chose the perfect window for my expedition. By the time I returned the way I'd come, past this spot (blipped so many times before in every direction), the smattering of fresh snow on the trunks of the trees had cast a sprinkle of magic on this scene!
