Garter Snake in the Grass

I was out in the yard early this morning cleaning up after the Frenchies. 
I was pleasantly surprised to find a little garter snake that looks like the one I discovered last week in very nearly the same spot. 
I may have disturbed this fellow from its breakfast as there is also a slug nearby in the picture.
